Sarajevo to Banja Luka
Wholesale charcoal for Bosnia and Herzegovina
Virovo Promet supplies hardwood charcoal and briquettes to Bosnia and Herzegovina by pallet, full truck or container, with every order quoted individually. Our buyers there are ćevabdžinice, restaurants, distributors and retail chains in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar and Tuzla. Trucks usually run through Serbia and enter Bosnia at Rača or Bijeljina, or take the route through Montenegro when that suits the delivery point.
How we deliver to Bosnia and Herzegovina
Deliveries to Bosnia and Herzegovina go by road. The usual route runs from Skopje through Serbia, crossing at Preševo, passing Belgrade and entering Bosnia at Rača or Bijeljina, which serves Tuzla, Sarajevo and Banja Luka. For some delivery points the route through Montenegro is the better option, and we settle the route with the forwarder when we prepare the quotation.
Full 13.6 m trucks carry about 33 Euro pallets. Smaller quantities travel as groupage, which suits a distributor testing a new product or a restaurant group ordering a few pallets at a time. Transit is a few days by road and is confirmed in the quotation. Incoterms are agreed per order, from EXW Skopje to delivered at your address.
Customs and documents for Bosnia and Herzegovina
Ask your customs representative to confirm the classification, origin documents and import requirements for the actual goods and destination. Dispatch from Skopje does not, by itself, prove North Macedonian origin or establish a preferential duty rate.
Before ordering, agree the invoice, packing list, transport document and any additional product, traceability or safety documents required for your shipment. The broker and carrier should confirm clearance or transit arrangements and responsibilities before loading.
Who buys from us in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Ćevapi are the national dish and ćumur is what most ćevabdžinice cook them over, so restaurant demand in Bosnia and Herzegovina is steady all year. Sarajevo and Banja Luka ćevabdžinice with long opening hours usually ask for Marabu, whose long burn, indicatively up to around 7 hours and varying by lot, means fewer reloads during service. Restaurants grilling meat over an open fire often choose oak or beech lump charcoal.
Distributors serving the restaurant trade take mixed loads of several types, and retail chains order drveni ugalj and charcoal briquettes in 2, 3, 5 and 10 kg bags with labels in the local language. Wood briquettes for heating are asked for in winter. Private-label bags are possible on request. The range is subject to availability and includes acacia among others.
What to include in your enquiry
Give us the product, the quantity in bags, pallets or trucks, the bag size, the delivery city and address, the Incoterm you want, your target date and whether you need private-label packaging. Virovo Promet confirms in writing the availability, the net load, the packaging, the documents for that lot and the commercial terms, so nothing is left to assumption before loading.
Virovo Promet is a family-owned charcoal wholesaler in Skopje, North Macedonia, founded in 1990, exporting full-container loads of hardwood charcoal across Europe and beyond. You are welcome at the Skopje office and warehouse, Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 16:00, to see the products and packaging, or we can arrange a video call. We deal in Serbian, English or Macedonian.
Which route do trucks take from Skopje to Sarajevo?
Usually through Serbia via Preševo and Belgrade, entering Bosnia at Rača or Bijeljina. The route through Montenegro is used when it suits the delivery point. Route and transit are confirmed in the quotation.
Can a ćevabdžinica order directly, or only distributors?
Both. Delivery usually starts from one pallet, and smaller lots travel as groupage. A single restaurant, a restaurant group or a distributor can all enquire.
Do I pay duty in Bosnia on charcoal shipped from Skopje?
Under CEFTA, lots that qualify as originating receive preferential treatment. We confirm per lot which origin document can be issued; preferential origin is never promised in advance.
Do you supply heating briquettes for Bosnia?
Yes. Wood briquettes for stoves and boilers can be quoted alongside grill charcoal, subject to availability.
Can we visit before ordering?
Yes. Everyone is welcome at the Skopje office and warehouse, Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 16:00, or ask for a video call.
