What Namibian charcoal is
Clean to work with, almost no sparks and a clean burn that leaves the grill and the space around it tidy. It sparks far less than Marabu, which is why restaurants with open grills close to their guests love working with it.
The restaurant grade comes in larger pieces, made for grills that run through a full service. The same charcoal also comes in smaller pieces as our Namibian BBQ grade.

Who we recommend it for
We recommend this charcoal for restaurants, hotels and caterers that grill in front of their customers: long, even heat for the whole service, without sparks flying across the kitchen or the terrace.
Particularly efficient
Up to seven hours of embers means fewer refills and less time feeding the grill. Together with Marabu and mangrove, Namibian is one of the three best charcoals in our range.

Does Namibian charcoal spark?
Very little: it burns with almost no sparks, far less than Marabu. As with any charcoal, never burn it indoors or in an enclosed space.
